    Monsters of the Midway!

I might get a lot of flack for this, but it's an exciting weekend coming up for us in Chicago, with the Divisional Championships between Chi-town's beloved Bears and America's rags to riches football team, the New Orleans Saints.

I must say, I'm torn. Being from Chicago, I want my Monsters of the Midway to stomp 'em this Sunday show that supposed best offence in the league what it means to come up against our Bears defense.

But how can I root against the Saints? New Orleans has really tugged at my heartstrings in the last year and a half, and a part of me would love to see that team representing their city at the top.

I guess I'll be happy either way but, for today, be sure to check out our new e-column, Catching Up With... where we'll be talking to Joyce Stinnett-Baki of Annapolis & Anne Arundel CVB about how she found herself in tourism and where she finds tourism going today!

Enjoy the weekend! (All right, I decided GO BEARS!)

Southwest Museum of the American Indian Autry National Center
    Company Profile, by Jaron Balgaard

Gene Autry may have been America's Favorite Singing Cowboy - but the Autry National Center is something entirely more serious.

Founded in 2004, L.A.'s Autry National Center, comprising three museums, stands as a testament to the heroic image and ideal of the Native American, the American Cowboy and the Western Frontier that are each very much at the heart of our nation’s identity.

See what great adventures lie just far enough off the beaten path for your group to experience the real South Africa! Written by Karen Schopf, who lived in Cape Town, South Africa, in the winter and spring of 2003.

Edith Wagner Affinity Rules: Reunions Aren't Just Picnics Anymore
by Edith Wagner, Editor of Reunions Magazine

The reunions of old – when grandma's famous cookies and pickles were something to anticipate, and cousins' covered dishes were as delectable as they were heartwarming – are no longer the norm.

In fact, reunions are now serious enterprises, sometimes incorporated as nonprofit organizations and most doing some serious fundraising to cover their costs.

Edith Wagner shows us the changing format of the reunion and explains why your group travel business should make every effort to tap into this growing market.
