Tasting and learning about distinctive foods flavor tour itineraries. Culinary Tourism Americans have become obsessed with food. Whether it’s sipping a “cup o’ jo” at a roadside cafe or savoring a five-star epicurean repast at a celebrated dining room, food lovers are on a quest for culinary experiences that propel them into a state of nirvana. Who would have guessed that the act of eating would evolve into a national passion that stimulates basic senses while enhancing appreciation of other lifestyles and raising expectations in dining experiences. This new-found interest in food, moreover, has sparked important discussions about good health and stewardship of the earth’s resources.
